William Bartholome, BS
Embryology Supervisor

Will attended the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a degree in Biology.  He practiced Embryology at an In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) center in Washington, D.C. for three years before he returned to his native St. Paul, Minnesota and joined the RMIA team in 2007.  He is proficient in embryo grading, embryo transfers, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, assisted hatching (mechanical and laser), and embryo biopsy (blastomere and trophectoderm). 

Alison Steed, BS
Embryologist

With special training in gamete and embryo biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a degree in Animal Science and Biotechnology.  Proficient in embryo grading, embryo transfers, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, assisted hatching (mechanical and laser), as well as blastomere and trophectoderm biopsy, Ali has been an embryologist with RMIA since 2006.

Jeanne Taylor, MLT
Assistant Embryologist

Previously serving as supervisor of a chemistry lab servicing over 25 providers, Jean brought more than 20 years of experience when she joined RMIA in 2003.  Proficient in all areas of Andrology and Chemistry, Jean also functions in the Embryology Lab performing oocyte retrievals, sperm preparations, embryo transfers, and Reprotech shipments of sperm and embryos.

Angela Benda, BA
General Laboratory Supervisor

Angie came to RMIA in 1999 with over 15 years of previous experience in animal science research and the infertility field, ten of which she spent at the Mayo Clinic.  She is RMIA’s General Laboratory Supervisor and Manager of Medical Records.  Her responsibilities include overall laboratory compliance with accrediting agencies, such as the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and FDA, compiling and reporting of RMIA statistics through the American Society for Reproductive Technology, as well as hands on experience in the Andrology and Chemistry Laboratories. 

Susan Medina, MLT
Medical Laboratory Technician

Sue received her Associates Degree in Science for Medical Laboratory Technicians from the Medical Institute of Minnesota and has over 20 years of laboratory experience.  Beginning at RMIA in 2001, she performs phlebotomy for hormone testing, semen analysis with morphology, semen preparation for intrauterine inseminations, as well as processing and cryopreservation of semen for long term storage.
