Nursing Staff

Courtney DelFiacco, RN
Nursing Supervisor

Courtney served in the Postpartum Unit of Regions Hospital for two years after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota. She has been a nurse with RMIA since 2005 and provides care to patients at both the Woodbury and Edina clinic locations. Courtney currently coordinates the nursing staff, prescreens egg donors, schedules, performs intrauterine inseminations, assists with triage and recovery and performs ultrasounds for follicular assessment and confirmation of pregnancy.

Nancy Schaaf, LPN
Donor Coordinator & IVF Services

A Licensed Practical Nurse since 1979, Nancy has been a dedicated nurse with RMIA since 1999. Coordinating the stimulation protocols for IVF donors and recipients, she also assists in the monitoring phase of patient cycles, performs triage calls and recovery, and oversees the management of RMIA’s surgical suite.

Elizabeth Rinehart, RN
Outreach Coordinator

Elizabeth completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at St. Catherine University and joined RMIA in 2009. She performs intrauterine inseminations, ultrasounds for follicular assessment, confirmation of pregnancy, clinical triage, monitors patients’ post-procedure recovery, and participates in patient education. Elizabeth also coordinates monitoring capabilities between our outreach facilities.

Kelly Humphrey, RN
Registered Nurse

Kelly received her nursing degree from Lakewood Community College in 1992, practicing nursing in family practice, disease management, and psychiatry before joining RMIA in 2007. Providing care at both the Woodbury and Edina clinic locations, Kelly performs patient ultrasounds for cycle monitoring and confirmation of pregnancy, triage calls, and intrauterine inseminations. Integral in reviewing and communicating the cycle plan with patients during clinic visits, Kelly also monitors patients’ post-procedure recovery, and participates in patient education.

Bethany Shelstad, RN
Registered Nurse

Bethany received her nursing degree from St. Catherine’s University and completed her clinical rotation in Maternity at Fairview-Riverside before joining RMIA in 2010. She monitors patient stimulation and patient recovery post oocyte retrieval procedures, processes results, performs patient education, and assists in the donor prescreening process.

Sara Cisneros, RN
Registered Nurse

Sara is the newest member of the RMIA nursing department. Sara joined our team in 2011. She received her nursing degree from St. Catherine’s University. She completed her maternity clinical rounds at Saint Joseph’s hospital. Sara performs patient ultrasounds during their stimulation cycles, triage calls, intrauterine inseminations and patient education. Sara works closely with our physicians with the monitoring of care for our patients and their stimulation
