Who Is RMIA?

Reproductive Medicine and
Infertility Associates (RMIA) History

Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates
(RMIA) was founded by Jacques P. Stassart, M.D.
in 1999. Dr. Stassart came from the University of
Minnesota where he served as the interim head of the Reproductive Medicine Division. In 1994 Dr. Stassart left the University of Minnesota to direct the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Program at Reproductive Health Associates (RHA, St. Paul, MN). Following the dissolution of RHA in December 1998, Dr. Stassart assumed the facility lease and along with many former RHA employees , established Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates (RMIA). Within the first six months of RMIA being opened, Dr. Stassart was joined by one of the leading Embryologists in the nation, Dr. David G. Ball. Along with Dr. Ball came his highly trained lab team.

RMIA moved to its current location in Woodbury, Minnesota in May 2002. In 2008, RMIA opened a second facility in Edina, Minnesota.
