IVF with Adopted Embryos

As an alternative to IVF with donor egg or adoption, patients can explore the option of adopting embryos donated by other patients.

After completion of appropriate testing and psychological clearance (an FDA/ASRM requirement), the recipient will undergo a frozen embryo transfer (FET).

RMIA will only perform frozen embryo transfers using donated embryos that originated from the RMIA lab or the U of M lab, and are stored through Reprotech LTD. We do not accept embryos from other IVF labs because of the different freezing and embryo grading techniques, and recommend, instead, that patients seek treatment with the Center that generated such embryos.

Patients interested should call Reprotech at 1-888-489-8944 to see how long the wait list is.
